HR Manager – Manufacturing Plant

About the role

The HR Manager reports directly to the Wilton Mill Plant Manager and oversees all human‑resource functions for the mill and downstream locations (approximately 230 employees). The role includes employee relations, recruiting, compensation, training, performance management, safety, benefits, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer employee relations, recruiting, wage and salary administration, training and development, performance management, safety, benefits, and employee services.
• Analyze HR trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
• Conduct recruitment efforts, define position requirements, and serve as liaison on compensation and benefits issues.
• Maintain accurate job descriptions, classifications, and ensure uniform application of wage and salary policies.
• Coordinate employee communications, engagement activities, budgeting, and legal compliance.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; graduate degree and/or PHR/SPHR or SHRM‑CP/SHRM‑SCP preferred.
• 7+ years of HR experience, with 2–3 years in an industrial manufacturing setting preferred.
• Strong consulting, client‑management, conflict‑management, and business‑literacy skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, local leadership, and division‑level management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
