People Relations Partner

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is seeking a People Relations Partner to act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner across the organization. In this role you will shape the employee experience, anticipate needs, solve complex people challenges, and support the Bank’s mission and business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with employees and people leaders on routine policy questions and complex employee matters.
• Guide leaders through performance management, disciplinary actions, leaves of absence, flexible‑work programs and difficult conversations.
• Influence decision‑making with data‑driven insights and sound judgement.
• Lead HR projects and programs that align with broader business strategy.
• Influence policies and practices across the Federal Reserve System.
• Build meaningful relationships at all organizational levels and design education programs on people‑relations topics.
• Champion inclusive practices and ensure every voice is heard.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise as an Employee Relations Partner or Specialist with a strong track record handling complex matters.
• Experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist where employee relations was a significant focus.
• Ability to anticipate needs, solve complex challenges and influence outcomes.
• Data‑driven decision‑making and strong communication skills.
