People Practices Advisor – Meta Project (Monroe, LA)

About the role

The People Practices Advisor will serve as the primary local representative of People Practices, ensuring a best‑in‑class employee and candidate experience on a large project site in Monroe, LA. Reporting to the People Practices Business Partner, the advisor will connect employees and managers with the right resources, support onboarding, and help drive engagement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for employees, guiding them to tools, resources, and People Operations support.
• Interpret and consistently apply People Practices policies, procedures, and processes.
• Partner with Early Career Events teams to support college recruitment, internships, and builder development rotations.
• Coordinate local People Practices activities such as training logistics, new‑hire orientation, technology support, and event planning.
• Administer employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and retention programs.
• Facilitate 30/60/90‑day check‑ins for new hires and manage off‑boarding tasks, including asset retrieval and Workday updates.
• Organize employee‑focused events, including lunches, safety trainings, mental‑health awareness, and inclusion weeks.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of employee relations and HR best practices.
• Experience guiding employees and managers through HR processes.
• Strong organizational skills for event planning and logistics.
• Ability to collaborate with People Operations, Centers of Excellence, and business partners.

Required skills

• Workday (HRIS platform) proficiency.
