People and Office Coordinator

About the role

Inkitt is seeking a People and Office Coordinator to shape an exceptional employee experience while ensuring the smooth operation of its San Francisco office. The role blends office management with people‑operations responsibilities, ideal for someone who enjoys both logistical coordination and supporting employee lifecycle processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day office operations, including space organization, supplies, swag, and vendor relationships.
• Identify and implement AI‑driven automation for inventory tracking and reordering.
• Plan and execute in‑office events such as happy hours, culture moments, offsites, All‑Hands meetings, and movie premieres.
• Liaise with facilities and the landlord for repairs, security, and building needs.
• Welcome visitors and create a hospitable office environment.
• Partner with the Director of People Operations to manage end‑to‑end onboarding, contracts, equipment setup, system access, and employment verification.
• Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS (Rippling) and use scripts to reduce manual entry.
• Run employee surveys, support health and culture initiatives, and answer benefits, leave, and time‑off questions.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in People Operations, Office Management, or a similar fast‑paced environment.
• Hands‑on experience managing office logistics and vendor relationships.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset for process improvement.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS platforms, specifically Rippling.
• Familiarity with AI and automation tools for workflow optimization.
• Ability to create and manage event logistics.
