Peer Recovery Support Specialist – Behavioral Health Technician

About the role

Wise Path Recovery Centers in Williamson, WV is seeking a Peer Recovery Support Specialist who will also function as a Behavioral Health Technician. The role provides personal guidance and liaison services for individuals undergoing treatment for substance use disorder, helping them navigate intake, treatment plans, and daily living activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive orientation for new clients within the first 48 hours, covering program rules, handbook, expectations, and treatment plans.
• Facilitate educational groups to rebuild community re‑entry skills and provide psychoeducation.
• Process client intake, complete all required forms, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Administer urine analysis, manage sample storage, and coordinate testing with the appropriate authority.
• Create and maintain progress notes as assigned.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living and oversee recreational, fitness, and leisure activities.
• Transport clients to AA meetings, medical appointments, and other scheduled functions.

Required profile

• Ability to serve as a personal guide and liaison for individuals with substance use disorder.
• Experience supporting clients in residential treatment settings.
• Strong organizational skills for managing intake protocols, documentation, and client schedules.
