Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology APRN

About the role

The APRN will extend patient care and administrative services for Arkansas Children’s Hospital Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology physicians in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves comprehensive health assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, procedures, and prescribing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive health assessments, determine diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and prescribe appropriate medical treatments.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care, facilitate consultations, and ensure timely, appropriate patient care.
• Manage post‑procedure immunosuppression therapy and laboratory monitoring in collaboration with physicians and pharmacists.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals as an interdisciplinary resource, consultant, and patient advocate.
• Accurately document patient care, treatment plans, and outcomes within applicable clinical systems.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years of direct RN clinical experience with evidence of leadership or independent practice.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN license (Primary Care, Pediatric, Acute Care Pediatric, or Family) required.
• Ability to operate typical nursing equipment and comply with CDC universal precautions.

Required skills

• Prescriptive authority (DEA license to be obtained after hire).
• Strong written and oral communication, problem‑solving, leadership, and collaborative abilities.
