PCU RN Nights Contract (PRN)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a contract PCU (Post-Care Unit) registered nurse for night shifts in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The schedule is 36 hours per week, PRN, with pay of $57.75 per hour. StaffFlex nurses can work contract assignments at one facility or float within multiple hospitals across 9 states.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, collect and document health data, and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care
• Implement interventions safely and timely, and collaborate on patient admission, discharge and transfer
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and educate patients and families
• Follow hospital policy, infection control guidelines, PPE use and hand hygiene, and ensure safe handoff communication
• Act as a patient advocate and take part in quality, safety and peer review processes

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
• Associate's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• Fluent English, basic computer skills and critical thinking
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS and TNCC preferred
