PCBA Conformal Coating Technician - Weekend Shift

About the role

Leidos' Defense Systems Electronic Manufacturing Facility in Huntsville is seeking a Weekend Shift PCBA Conformal Coating Technician for its Electronics Manufacturing Facility (EMF). The technician applies conformal coating to Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA's) for military and space applications. The position is open for at least 3 days, with an anticipated close date no earlier than 3 days after the original posting.

Key responsibilities

• Run automatic conformal coating dispense equipment to apply coating on low, medium and high density PCBAs.
• Mask PCBAs before coating and remove masking after coating.
• Inspect coated PCBAs under UV light and under mag-light or microscope with black light.
• Work toward daily objectives and interact with project and production teams in a team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, with at least 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience working with teams.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• US citizen with a Final Secret Clearance, or eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience using mag lights and microscopes to view PCBAs.
• Current or prior certification in IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001.

The pay range is $40,300 to $72,850, which is a general guideline depending on experience, education, skills and other factors.
