Payroll Manager

About the role

The Payroll Manager leads accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations for a complex, multi‑state workforce. This position oversees end‑to‑end payroll processing, audits, and team development while ensuring strong controls and accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for a multi‑state workforce, including piece‑rate, overtime and minimum‑wage calculations.
• Prepare, reconcile, validate and import payroll data from multiple systems and sources.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑payroll audits, resolve discrepancies and maintain payroll controls and documentation.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for ADP Workforce Now, handling processing, imports, reporting and troubleshooting.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Operations and field leadership to resolve issues and improve processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience with complex, multi‑state processing.
• 2+ years of payroll leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state wage‑and‑hour regulations.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical, problem‑solving abilities.
