Payment Posting Specialist (Remote)

About the role

You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently posting payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts. A strong understanding of various payer systems and medical billing practices is essential for success.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately post payments, adjustments, and denials from Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) to patient accounts.
• Identify, locate, and retrieve remittance information from payer portals, lockboxes, and internal queues to ensure timely posting.
• Balance daily transactions and proactively resolve ERA gaps by investigating missing remittances and contacting payers.
• Research and correct claim or posting errors to maintain clean accounts receivable.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in medical billing, payment posting, or related revenue cycle management.
• Proven ability to navigate major payer portals such as Availity and Change Healthcare.
• Experience with credit balance resolution and refund processing.
• Proficiency with medical billing software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Expert knowledge of EOBs, ERAs, CPT, ICD‑10, and standard adjustment/denial codes.
• Exceptional data‑entry speed, accuracy, and strong analytical problem‑solving skills.
