Medical Biller (Remote)

About the role

The Medical Biller will support our Billing Team by managing claim communications, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and payer requirements. This remote position works closely with internal strategy and operations teams to improve claim outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Contact payers to obtain claim status, follow up on denials, and resolve partial payments.
• Gather and apply payer requirements for timely adjudication of claims.
• File claims with all necessary documentation attached.
• Track and communicate updates to medical coverage guidelines to internal teams and customers.
• Process incoming and outgoing correspondence related to claims.
• Verify, adjust, and update Accounts Receivable based on insurer feedback.
• Identify error and denial trends and facilitate communication on these issues.
• Initiate review and appeals processes for disputed claims.
• Collaborate with Candid’s Strategy & Operations team on customer accounts and claim trends.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in revenue cycle management or medical billing.
• Strong investigative mindset with ability to analyze data and suggest actions.
• Self‑starter who balances quality with efficiency.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Effective multitasking and a positive, cooperative attitude.
