Payment Operations Associate

About the role

Rho is seeking a Payment Operations Associate to manage day‑to‑day payment processing for its modern banking platform. The role involves handling client repayments, issuing rewards, and maintaining credit and card program settings while collaborating with Credit Risk, Client Services, Fraud, Compliance, and partner banks.

Key responsibilities

• Process client repayments, run recurring ACH pulls, and ensure accurate payment capture.
• Issue cashback rewards, credits, bonuses, and promotional incentives with proper approvals.
• Maintain credit limits, payment terms, statement cycles, and custom pricing across systems.
• Manage wire operations, including trace requests, recalls, returns, and enrollment changes.
• Handle ACH returns and reversals in compliance with NACHA rules.
• Support fraud and credit review by expediting settlements and managing RDC returns.
• Produce weekly delinquency reports and monitor 30‑day repayment returns.
• Escalate compliance, fraud, and legal issues to appropriate internal teams.
• Coordinate Letter of Credit program activities, funding collateral accounts and processing fees.
• Identify automation opportunities and work with Product and Engineering to improve workflows.

Required profile

• 2+ years in payment, banking, treasury, or similar operations at a fintech, bank, or payment processor.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet hard deadlines with high transaction volume.
• Clear written communication and sound judgment on escalations.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of payment rails: ACH, Fedwire, RTP, card networks, remote deposit.
• Experience with operational tools: Jira ticketing, Looker BI dashboards, spreadsheets, bank portals.
• SQL knowledge (a plus, not required).
