Patient Registration Representative - Overnight Shift

About the role

R1 is recruiting a Patient Registration Representative for the Ascension Sacred Heart Navarre hospital in Navarre, Florida. The role is onsite and covers the overnight shift (Wednesday 11:55 pm to 6:00 am, Thursday to Saturday 6:00 pm to 6:00 am). It is the first point of contact for patients, helping them get fast, compassionate and accurate access to care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with the check-in process, working across multiple computer systems to register patients efficiently
• Answer phones and gather accurate patient information quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Minimize delays in registration and answer questions with confidence, clarity and compassion
• Navigate diverse insurance plans and coverage details, enter demographics and medical data, collect co-pays and provide cost estimates when applicable
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test and meet vaccination requirements
• No healthcare background needed: training is provided
• Experience with patient access, medical registration, insurance verification or front desk is a plus
