Patient Care Coordinator - Bilingual Preferred

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator, working remotely in Florida, to provide world-class customer service and service delivery to clients and patients. The role centres on processing referrals for the delivery of medical goods and services. Bilingual candidates are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Contact patients about new or ongoing referrals, confirm their demographic information, give updates on the referral and confirm delivery of goods or services.
• Communicate with vendor partners, claims adjusters and nurse case managers about new and ongoing referrals.
• Procure vendor partners for each referral and make or take phone calls on existing, new and team member referrals.
• Provide quotes to clients for approval or follow up on quotes already sent, obtaining written approval so each referral is deemed medically necessary and approved by the claims adjuster.
• Confirm that all required billing information is present in each referral and move referrals to billing each day.
• Process referrals according to state regulations and workers' compensation guidelines.
• Support the organization's quality programs, travel as required and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of industry experience in healthcare network and patient care scheduling, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Credit security clearance confirmed by a background credit check is required.

Required skills

• Strong customer service, critical thinking and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to write accurate reports, work in a team and meet performance competencies.
