Patient Access Representative – UHealth SoLé Mia

About the role

The University of Miami UHealth at SoLé Mia is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join its growing team. This front‑line position greets patients, vendors and staff, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience while handling registration and financial responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a patient advocate and service ambassador, providing a positive first impression and proactive assistance.
• Perform on‑site patient registration functions promptly, adhering to safety, quality and reimbursement standards.
• Collect patient self‑pay responsibilities, including co‑pays, deductibles, co‑insurances and outstanding balances for both technical and professional services.
• Ensure compliance with UHealth policies, state and federal regulations related to patient access.
• Address inquiries in person or by phone, directing them appropriately.
• Assist with additional departmental duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (required for all levels).
• Relevant experience: 1 year for Representative 1, 2 years for Representative 2, 3 years for Representative 3.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish, English/Creole, English/French, etc.)
