Patient Access Representative – Per Diem

About the role

The Patient Access Representative (On‑Site) works on a per‑diem basis to register patients for clinical services. You will gather essential demographic and financial information, verify insurance coverage, explain required documents, and collect payments.

Key responsibilities

• Enter demographic, financial, and clinical data to secure financial clearance for scheduled patients.
• Contact families or physicians to obtain missing insurance details.
• Verify insurance eligibility and notify patients and referring physicians of any issues.
• Collaborate with scheduling teams to add‑on patients as needed.
• Obtain authorizations, pre‑certifications, and referrals.
• Inform patients of financial liabilities and collect payments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in the system of record.
• Follow university and unit policies to protect assets.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent (or relevant experience, certification, or license).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in patient registration or similar healthcare administration.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Proficiency with office software and general computer applications.
