Patient Access Representative – Full-Time (UHealth)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Patient Access Representative 2 to join the front‑desk team at the UHealth Tower. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will register patients for clinical services, verify insurance benefits, explain required documents, and collect payments while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet visitors, direct them to the appropriate location, and maintain a welcoming reception area.
• Answer incoming calls, place outgoing calls, and provide courteous assistance.
• Respond to general inquiries and forward non‑routine requests to the appropriate staff.
• Perform administrative tasks such as sorting mail, handling faxes, and troubleshooting office equipment.
• Maintain department directories, visitation logs, and a tidy work environment.
• Place orders for department supplies as needed.
• Adhere to university policies, safeguard assets, and handle confidential information with discretion.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in a customer‑facing or administrative role.
• General knowledge of office procedures and operations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to complete assignments accurately.
• Ability to process and protect confidential information.
