Patient Access Representative – Full-time (On‑Site)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Clinical Access is seeking a full‑time Patient Access Representative 1 to join the team at its Lennar location. In this on‑site position you will be the first point of contact for patients, handling registration, insurance verification and payment collection while ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.

Key responsibilities

• Register patients for clinical services, obtain and verify insurance information, and collect payments.
• Collect copies of insurance cards, driver’s license, and referrals; explain Consent for Treatment, Financial Liability, and HIPAA forms.
• Guide patients through required questionnaires and schedule, cancel or edit appointments.
• Answer telephone calls, triage inquiries and transfer when appropriate.
• Reconcile vouchers and deliver them to the designated area.
• Coordinate patient flow from pre‑arrival to discharge using multiple systems (EPIC MyChart, Grand Central ADT, Cadence, Prelude, Radiant, OP Time, Care Everywhere, Resolute, Nice inContact, Aria Oncology).
• Assist patients with self‑service technology such as MyChart and check‑in kiosks.
• Maintain accurate demographic, financial and clinical data in compliance with HIPAA.
