About the role
The Patient Access Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors at the UHealth Tower. This on‑site position requires a professional, welcoming demeanor and the ability to manage inquiries both in person and over the phone.
Key responsibilities
- Greet visitors and direct them to their requested destinations.
- Answer incoming calls, place outgoing calls, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Respond to general questions, forwarding non‑routine requests to appropriate staff.
- Perform administrative tasks such as sorting mail, handling faxes, and troubleshooting office equipment.
- Maintain department directories, visitation logs, and a tidy reception area.
- Place orders for department supplies as requested by leadership.
- Project a professional appearance and pleasant demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Adhere to university and unit‑level policies, safeguarding assets.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- General knowledge of office procedures and operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
