Patient Access Representative – Deerfield Beach

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Clinical Access is seeking a full‑time Patient Access Representative to join the Sylvester Deerfield Beach location. In this on‑site position you will be the first point of contact for patients, handling registration, insurance verification and payment collection while ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.

Key responsibilities

• Register patients for clinical services, obtain and verify insurance information, and collect payments.
• Gather required documents such as insurance cards, driver’s license and referrals.
• Explain Consent for Treatment, Financial Liability and HIPAA forms and obtain patient signatures.
• Schedule, modify or cancel appointments and accurately record no‑show information.
• Answer telephone inquiries, triage calls and provide information or transfer as needed.
• Utilize multiple systems (EPIC MyChart, Grand Central ADT, Cadence, Prelude, Radiant, OP Time, Care Everywhere, Resolute, Nice inContact, Aria Oncology) to manage patient flow from pre‑arrival to discharge.
• Assist patients with self‑service technologies such as MyChart and check‑in kiosks.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential patient information.
• Excellent communication skills with patients of all ages.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EPIC MyChart and related healthcare software platforms.
• Experience using Grand Central ADT, Cadence, Prelude, Radiant, OP Time, Care Everywhere, Resolute, Nice inContact Communication, and Aria Oncology.
