Patient Access Representative 3 – On‑Site (Boca Raton)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Clinical Access is seeking a full‑time Patient Access Representative 3 to join its Boca Raton location. In this on‑site role you will manage registration and financial clearance activities, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate reimbursement for services.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain, verify, and enter demographic, financial, and clinical information for scheduled patient accounts.
• Contact patients, families, or physicians to gather missing insurance details and confirm eligibility.
• Secure authorizations, pre‑certifications, and referrals as required.
• Notify patients of financial liabilities before service dates and collect payments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in the system of record.
• Serve as a lead resource for lower‑level Patient Access Representatives and provide supervisory coverage when needed.
• Collaborate with scheduling departments to manage add‑on patients and coordinate patient flow.

Required profile

• Experience in patient registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance in a healthcare setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages and the healthcare team.
