About the role
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Pashto Language Interpreter to support its humanitarian programs. You will facilitate communication between Pashto‑speaking clients and IRC staff, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate translation.
Key responsibilities
- Provide oral and written translation of documents, interviews, and meetings between Pashto speakers and English‑speaking staff.
- Assist in interpreting during case management, health services, and community outreach activities.
Required profile
- Fluent in Pashto and English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in humanitarian or social service settings.
Required skills
- Professional interpreting and translation proficiency.
- Knowledge of IRC’s core values and safeguarding policies.
