About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a part‑time Forklift Operator to work Monday‑Friday on various shifts at its Meriden, CT service center. The position pays $24.95 per hour, includes PTO after 90 days, and offers a comprehensive benefits package with access to employee resorts.
Key responsibilities
- Move all types of freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long.
- Operate a forklift on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock.
- Read manifests and interact with computer displays to track shipments.
Required profile
- Ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.
- Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Previous forklift experience in a fast‑paced setting, with some LTL handling preferred.
