Part‑Time Biology Instructor

About the role

The Department of Life, Earth & Environmental Sciences at West Texas A&M University is seeking qualified candidates for part‑time teaching appointments in biology. You will join a dynamic faculty team and support undergraduate students in their learning journey.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to four sections of biology courses each semester, as needed.
• Prepare and deliver lectures, labs, and discussion sessions.
• Maintain office hours to advise and assist students.
• Develop course materials, assignments, and assessments in alignment with department standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Biology or a closely related discipline.
• At least 18 graduate credit hours in biological sciences.
• Eligibility to teach on campus in Canyon, Texas.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success.

Required skills

• Knowledge of undergraduate biology curricula.
• Ability to design and conduct laboratory experiments.
• Proficiency in using classroom technology and learning management systems.
