Part‑Time Bank Teller

About the role

Santander is seeking a friendly and reliable part‑time teller to join its Peabody branch. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them with everyday banking needs while delivering a high level of service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, minimize wait times and assist with deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other transactions.
• Handle cash accurately and maintain balanced cash drawers.
• Follow all bank policies, compliance and risk‑management procedures to prevent fraud.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and refer appropriate bank products.
• Educate customers on digital self‑service tools and encourage their use.
• Support custodial duties, audits and other operational tasks.
• Keep the work area clean and organized to create a welcoming environment.
• Assist nearby branches when business needs require.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months cash‑handling experience.
• At least 6 months demonstrated customer‑service experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work flexible branch hours, including evenings and weekends.
