Parts Specialist

About the role

O'Reilly Auto Parts is hiring a Parts Specialist for its Milwaukee store (Store 03273). The role provides retail and installer customers with a high level of service and supports store management with assigned tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Greet retail and walk-in customers promptly and help them select merchandise
• Answer phone calls, look up parts and quote prices, recommend premium and related items, and offer the Low-Price Guarantee
• Assist managers and installer service specialists with professional customers
• Maintain the cash drawer, handle cash and checks, make change and process credit card transactions
• Process exchanges and returns, and resolve customer complaints in line with company policy
• Complete the daily image maker, planogram updates, freight receipt, stocking, fronting and facing, and cleaning
• Help with returns to the distribution center, monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts
• Perform in-store services such as installing wipers, testing and charging batteries, scanning trouble codes and replacing headlight capsules where state and local laws allow
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate, meeting company driving eligibility requirements
• Follow and promote company customer service programs and complete assigned company training

Required profile

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Outstanding, friendly and professional customer service, able to multitask between phone and in-store customers
• ASE certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired)

Required skills

• Desired: familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, the Weatherly index system and automotive sales or service
• Desired: ability to operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training
