Parts Counter Specialist

About the role

ASCO Equipment is hiring a Parts Counter Specialist in Austin (Manor), TX. The specialist helps customers and in-house service technicians get the parts they need, coordinates ordering and tracking of parts and manages inventory so that equipment downtime for repairs and preventative maintenance is kept to a minimum. Service is provided by phone and in person.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful customer service by phone and on a walk-in basis
• Ask questions to identify the machine make, model and serial number accurately
• Investigate part needs and determine what additional parts are required
• Fulfill orders with in-stock inventory and place new orders in a timely way
• Match orders accurately to packing slips
• Collect customer payment information and purchase orders, and follow up on past-due accounts
• Use online manuals and microfiche to identify parts correctly
• Maintain accurate parts inventory

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience as a parts specialist preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership
• Detail-oriented, with good time management and teamwork skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Personal dedication to work safety and accountability
• Spanish speaking preferred

Required skills

• Proficient computer skills
• Experience with G-Suite and other parts programs
