Part-Time Woodwinds Teacher

About the role

Ensemble Schools is looking for an experienced woodwinds instructor to teach part‑time at Reeder Music Academy in Danville, CA. The role involves in‑person private lessons for saxophone, flute, and clarinet, with the possibility of teaching a secondary instrument such as piano.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one instruction for woodwind instruments (saxophone, flute, clarinet) to students of various ages and skill levels.
• Set and maintain consistent availability, preferably Monday‑Thursday afternoons/evenings, and coordinate lesson schedules.
• Optionally teach a secondary instrument (e.g., piano) when needed.

Required profile

• Degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated passion for teaching and experience working with young musicians.
• Reliability, punctuality, dependable transportation, and ability to pass a background check.

Required skills

• Proficiency in teaching saxophone.
• Proficiency in teaching flute.
• Proficiency in teaching clarinet.
• Ability to teach piano as a secondary instrument (optional).
