Part-Time Weekend Urgent Care Senior Veterinary Assistant

About the role

UrgentVet provides after‑hours urgent care for dogs and cats, bridging the gap between regular practice and emergency clinics. We are seeking a part‑time senior veterinary assistant to deliver high‑quality patient care and support our fast‑paced urgent care team on weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea cases, and euthanasia procedures.
• Handle animal restraint, sample collection, and patient monitoring.
• Perform phlebotomy, catheter placement, and basic laboratory analysis.
• Maintain clinic cleanliness, equipment, and client education materials.

Required profile

• Professional, dependable, and able to multitask in a hands‑on environment.
• Energetic, pet‑loving individual with strong work ethic and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb and travel for on‑site training if needed.
