Part-Time Urgent Care Senior Veterinary Assistant

About the role

UrgentVet is seeking a Part‑Time Senior Veterinary Assistant to deliver outstanding patient care, lead the team, and provide excellent client service in a fast‑paced, state‑of‑the‑art urgent care clinic.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality care for urgent canine and feline cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia.
• Lead and support the clinical team, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent client communication.
• Maintain facility cleanliness, perform equipment upkeep, and educate clients on post‑visit care.

Required profile

• Professional, dependable, with strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Energetic, people‑and‑pet oriented with excellent work ethic and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior customer service experience and experience working with animals in a hospital setting.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and travel for on‑site training if needed.

Required skills

• Animal handling, patient restraint, sample collection, and monitoring.
• Phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculation.
