Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer (Patrol & Logkeeping)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol security officer in Brookhaven, Georgia. The officer serves clients in technology, media and telecommunications locations by conducting routine patrols, monitoring access points and keeping accurate logs. The position is flexible, with a schedule of day shifts on Monday (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) and Thursday (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM).

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response activities when needed.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, loading zones and perimeters to spot unusual activity or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and keep accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms and critical situations, notifying site contacts and emergency responders as required.
• Report security observations, hazards and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership or client representatives.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of security-related experience; customer service experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required depending on state and local law.

Preferred qualifications

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with access control and badges.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
