Part-Time Remote Nursing Faculty - Health Assessment I and II

About the role

Chamberlain College of Nursing is seeking part-time nursing faculty to teach its online BSN Nursing program. The position covers Health Assessment I (NR-302) and Health Assessment II (NR-304), two courses that introduce nursing assessment techniques and their use in clinical decision making. Faculty act as facilitators, role models, coaches and advisors, leading asynchronous discussions and weekly synchronous live lectures, and supporting students by email, online conferencing or telephone.

Key responsibilities

• Provide students with an approved Chamberlain syllabus following the local campus template, including terminal course objectives
• Organize, prepare and regularly revise course materials
• Use online technologies and course software to make the course accessible to students
• Model effective oral and written communication
• Set clear expectations, publish objectives, assignment and exam dates, and grade fairly with timely feedback
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards

Required profile

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Unencumbered professional nurse licensure in Illinois; compact multi-state RN license preferred
• Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience
• Passion for nursing, education and lifelong learning, with strong communication skills and subject-matter expertise

What we offer

• Expected pay of $715 to $1,950 per earned credit hour, depending on education and experience
• Remote, part-time faculty position
