Part-Time Produce Clerk

About the role

Meijer is hiring a part-time Produce Clerk in Swartz Creek. As a Food Clerk, you create a fresh, welcoming and well-run store experience in the Fresh departments, serving customers with product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude while handling a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising.

Key responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

Required profile

• Friendly, customer-first mindset
• Strong listening and communication skills
• Ability to learn and use job-specific technology
• Attention to detail and ability to stay organized
• Ability to follow processes and safety standards
• Physical stamina: lifting, bending, twisting and standing for long periods
• Previous retail or food service experience is helpful but not required
