Part-Time Preschool and Elementary Youth Sports Instructor

About the role
Amazing Athletes is looking for a part-time sports and fitness instructor to teach preschool-aged and elementary-aged children (ages 2-11) in childcare and recreation centers in Columbia. Classes run mainly in the morning, with some hours in the afternoon, for about 9-12 hours per week. Comprehensive training on the curriculum is provided.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct engaging sports and fitness classes for children aged 2-11
- Incorporate sports and fitness activities into the lessons
- Foster a positive environment and encourage participation
- Help young children develop motor skills, teamwork and a love of fitness
Required profile
- At least 18 years old
- Experience or a strong interest in working with children
- Energetic, outgoing and self-motivated personality
- Able to work independently and manage a classroom effectively
- Friendly and approachable attitude toward children, parents and facility staff
- Willingness to undergo a background check
- Driver's license and a reliable vehicle
