About the role

Pacific Piano School is looking for a dedicated piano instructor to teach private lessons and group classes on-site in San Jose. The role is part‑time, offering flexible scheduling within the school’s open hours.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality private piano lessons to students of various ages and skill levels.
  • Teach music theory and lead piano group classes.
  • Prepare students for ABRSM or MTAC Certificate of Merit examinations.
  • Maintain consistent scheduling and clear communication with students and staff.

Required profile

  • Degree in piano performance, pedagogy, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven teaching experience, especially with young musicians.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
  • Professional and dependable approach to scheduling and communication.
