Part-Time Passenger Service Agent (SFO)

About the role

Swissport, a global leader in ground handling, cargo handling and passenger services, is hiring a part-time Passenger Service Agent for its San Francisco International Airport (SFO) location. The agent delivers the passenger and customer services contracted by the customer, including reservations, ticketing, baggage processing, check-in, jetway operations, VIP handling and special passenger assistance. The expected rate of pay is $22.51 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and verify passenger documentation
• Issue boarding passes and reschedule passengers affected by flight interruptions or cancellations
• Manage baggage processing, including handling and fee calculation where applicable
• Assist passengers through arrival and check-in, including unaccompanied minors, VIPs and passengers needing wheelchair assistance
• Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration and Quarantine as required
• Make public address announcements as required
• Help Ramp Service Agents make wheelchairs, strollers and gate-checked bags available for loading and delivery to passengers
• Follow security requirements and Swissport SOPs and policies
• Operate the jetway, computer keyboards and carrier-specific reservation and ticketing software
• Produce required work documentation and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Good command of English, spoken and written
• Relevant work experience and a passion for customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the country's language; additional languages desirable
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Willingness to work in inclement weather

Required skills

• Ability to type and learn airline-specific reservation and ticketing software
• Ability to follow processes and procedures
