Part-Time Passenger Service Agent

About the role

Swissport, a global leader in ground handling, cargo handling and passenger services, is hiring a Part-Time Passenger Service Agent in Orlando, Florida. The agent delivers passenger and customer services as contracted by the customer, including reservations, ticketing, baggage processing, check-in, jetway operations, VIP handling, special assistance and complaint handling. The expected pay rate is $16.50 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and verify passenger documentation and issue boarding passes.
• Reschedule passengers affected by flight interruptions or cancellations.
• Process passenger baggage, including handling and fee calculation where applicable.
• Assist passengers during arrival and check-in, including unaccompanied minors, VIPs and passengers needing wheelchair assistance.
• Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration and Quarantine as required.
• Make public address announcements and help Ramp Service Agents make wheelchairs, strollers and gate-checked bags available for loading and delivery.
• Operate the jetway, computer keyboards and carrier-specific reservation and ticketing software, and produce required documentation.
• Comply with security requirements and Swissport SOPs and policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Fluent Spanish and good command of English, spoken and written.
• Relevant work experience and passion for customer service.
• US legal residency (green card or citizenship) and a valid Florida driver's license.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather.

Required skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication in the country's language.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Ability to type and learn airline-specific reservation and ticketing software.
