Part-Time Overnight Stocker

About the role

Meijer is hiring a part-time overnight stocking clerk in Swartz Creek. The stocking clerk takes stock from l-carts or pallets, uses the location codes on each box to place items in the correct shelf locations, and repeats this until the assigned area is finished. The role works overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.

Key responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Work with leadership to make sure assigned areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Perform other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Required profile

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Follows processes and procedures in an organized, efficient way.
• Stays calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoys being part of a team and supporting shared goals.
• Able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and standing for long periods.

Required skills

• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
