Part-Time Host/Hostess

About the role

Experience Senior Living is looking for a part-time host/hostess to join its team in Lone Tree. The role provides a high level of customer service and promotes a fine dining atmosphere, working closely with the Executive Chef and/or Executive Director to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs.

Key responsibilities

• Make and manage seating charts with sections for the servers
• Review daily menus and specials with residents
• Take and deliver accurate meal orders to residents and guests
• Help remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses and linen, and assist in resetting the dining room
• Adhere to quality enhancement standards and standard food safety practices
• Assist with special events, banquets and theme meals, and introduce new residents to menus and dining options when applicable
• Ensure servers complete their side duties before leaving, and that next-day menus are printed and ready
• Attend pre-meal stand-up meetings for dining and kitchen staff, and help build teamwork among staff
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned

Required profile

• Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills
• Able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and team members, and to build positive relationships with employees, coworkers and residents
• Focused on excellent customer service and able to handle multiple jobs and priorities
• Must abide by the company uniform policy
• Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings and holidays
