About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a reliable Part‑Time Forklift Operator to join its South Windsor, CT service center. You will work on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock moving freight safely in and out of trailers.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to load and unload freight from trailers up to 53’ long.
- Handle various types of freight while following safety procedures.
- Read and interpret shipping manifests and computer displays.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required profile
- Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
- Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Previous forklift experience, preferably in a high‑volume setting.
- Basic computer literacy to read manifests.
