Part-Time Forklift Operator

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a part‑time Forklift Operator to join its Syracuse, NY service center. The position works Monday‑Friday on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock, handling freight safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load and unload freight from enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long.
• Move pallets and containers in and out of the dock area while following safety protocols.
• Verify loads against manifests and ensure accurate placement.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Required profile

• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop repeatedly.
• Dependable with the capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience operating a forklift in a high‑volume setting, preferably with LTL shipments.
• Basic computer literacy to read manifests and interact with screen displays.
