Part-Time Clinical Nursing Faculty – Critical Care

About the role

Chamberlain College of Nursing is seeking a part‑time Clinical Nursing Faculty to mentor BSN students in an inpatient critical‑care setting. The instructor will bridge classroom learning with real‑world patient care, ensuring students develop confidence and competence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise clinical experiences for 8‑week sessions, typically 3‑4 consecutive 12‑hour shifts.
• Evaluate student performance, provide documented feedback, and offer remediation as needed.
• Develop and post written clinical assignments tailored to student skill levels.
• Maintain communication with clinical agencies and keep up‑to‑date with site policies.

Required profile

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• Active, unencumbered RN license in Minnesota.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association, Red Cross, or Military).
• At least two years of recent professional nursing experience in a relevant clinical area.

Required skills

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to integrate nursing, technological, and scientific knowledge.
• Proficiency in assessing and performing advanced nursing procedures in a critical‑care environment.
