Part-Time Anatomy & Physiology Faculty

About the role

Chamberlain University, a healthcare education provider with a College of Nursing and a College of Health Professions, is looking for part-time Anatomy & Physiology faculty to teach undergraduate BSN nursing students on site in St. Louis, MO. The position covers the four-course sequence Anatomy & Physiology I-IV with Lab, taught using a body systems approach, with courses meeting once or twice a week for eight weeks. The employer seeks industry professionals with high professional standards, excellent communication skills and enthusiasm.

Key responsibilities

• Provide students with an approved Adtalem Global Education syllabus following the local campus template, including terminal course objectives.
• Organize, prepare and regularly revise and update all course materials.
• Use online technologies and course software, including websites, e-mail and online discussions, to make the course accessible.
• Model effective oral and written communication and set clear expectations, including exam and assignment dates and evaluation weights.
• Ensure exam content matches course objectives and grade fairly with timely feedback.
• Complete other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

Required profile

• Master's degree required for all faculty positions, with 18 graduate hours in the subject taught for undergraduate teaching.
• Requisite subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
• Excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse, non-traditional environment.
• Ability to work collegially and facilitate diverse groups.
• Additional requirements may apply due to state licensing or accreditation considerations.

What we offer

• Expected pay of $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience; actual pay may vary with course type, experience, location, licensure, market factors, budget and responsibility.
