Paralegal – Remote (Contract, $42-$55/hr)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to support our remote legal team. The role focuses on reviewing land control documents for projects in energy, real estate, and infrastructure, ensuring compliance and clarity for senior legal review.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate land control instruments such as deeds, ground leases, rights of way, and easement agreements for term, exclusivity, and conveyance language.
• Identify deficiencies, gaps, and execution issues across site‑control documentation packages.
• Organize findings into clear, standardized formats suitable for senior legal review.
• Support due‑diligence workflows by processing and annotating land and real‑estate documents.
• Flag non‑compliant or incomplete filings based on project and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with senior reviewers to escalate and resolve complex document issues.

Required profile

• Strong relevant experience as a paralegal or legal document reviewer, preferably in energy, real estate, or infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience reviewing land control instruments such as deeds, ground leases, easements, and rights of way.
• Ability to assess term, exclusivity, and conveyance language in legal documents.
• High attention to detail and capability to organize findings in structured, standardized formats.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, document‑heavy environment.
