Paralegal and Legal & Compliance Operations Manager

About the role

Genetix Biotherapeutics is seeking a Paralegal and Legal & Compliance Operations Manager to combine substantive paralegal work with ownership of the operational engine behind the Legal and Compliance function. This full‑time hybrid role (three days onsite per week) will support contract management, corporate governance, and healthcare compliance programs.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the contract lifecycle management system: intake triage, routing, template selection, version control, electronic signature execution, filing, and obligation tracking.
• Draft first versions of routine agreements using approved templates, including confidentiality, consulting, master services, statements of work, speaker, data use, and business associate agreements.
• Coordinate multi‑departmental review (Legal, Compliance, Finance, Procurement, Quality, Privacy) and flag non‑standard terms to attorneys.
• Maintain the contract repository, signature authority matrix, renewal and expiration calendar, and provide advance notice of key decision points.
• Support specialized agreements such as qualified treatment center, payer, outcomes‑based, clinical trial, site, and vendor onboarding documentation.
• Execute recurring healthcare compliance obligations, including federal and state transparency reporting, exclusion screening, policy administration, and training.
• Own systems, calendars, metrics, and vendor relationships that enable a lean department to operate at commercial scale.

• Proven ability to work autonomously with significant cross‑functional visibility.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
