Painter/Blaster

About the role

Artex Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Painter/Blaster to join its production team in Redwood Falls. The position works the first shift, Monday‑Thursday, with optional overtime on Fridays, and offers a competitive starting wage.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces by masking, caulking, and high‑pressure steel grit blasting.
• Apply primer, paint, and other finishes using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Operate forklifts and telehandlers to move units in and out of the blast/paint room.
• Load, hang, and secure units on racks, fixtures, and stands.
• Track production hours electronically for each unit.
• Perform quality inspections throughout the blasting and painting processes.
• Sweep the blast room to reclaim steel grit and manage the dust collector system.
• Clean, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Follow all safety and environmental regulations and maintain reliable attendance.

Required profile

• Willingness to work the 6:00 am‑4:30 pm first‑shift schedule.
• Flexibility to take on additional tasks or overtime as needed.
• Reliability and a commitment to on‑site attendance.
