Painter I – Residential & Modular Construction

About the role

Amherstgroup is seeking an experienced residential painter to join its new StudioBuilt modular housing factory in Cuero, Texas. The role involves preparing and finishing interior surfaces on a high‑volume manufacturing line.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean work environment in compliance with plant safety procedures.
• Prepare surfaces, fill, sand, and apply paint using spray guns, rollers, and brushes to achieve a level‑4 smooth finish.
• Clean and maintain painting equipment and tools.
• Assist with other duties as assigned to support production flow.

Required profile

• High school diploma and at least 4 years of residential painting experience on construction sites or in a modular manufacturing facility.
• Ability to lift 75 lb, stand for 8+ hours, and work overtime as scheduled.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
