Paint Masker I – 3rd Shift

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Paint Masker I to work the 3rd shift (10 pm‑6:30 am) at its Torrance, CA facility. Reporting to the Wet Processing Supervisor, you will support masking operations for paint and plating processes.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, sketches and work instructions to determine masking procedures.
• Apply masking tape, paint, wax and protective devices to selected areas of parts.
• Use hand tools such as punches, scissors, brushes, knives or razor blades to cut and remove masking materials.
• Remove tape, wax and coatings after painting or plating and perform touch‑up painting as needed.
• Maintain compliance with processing specifications, FAA safety‑sensitive requirements and company safety standards.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow verbal, written and computer instructions in English.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Minimum 1 year of industry masking experience; 3 years preferred, especially in aerospace.
• Eligibility for FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Willingness to work the 3rd‑shift schedule.
