Packaging Supervisor – Jackson, MS

About the role

The Brick Monorail Packaging Supervisor oversees safe and efficient operations in the brick packaging area, supervising a team that includes hackers, machine operators, strapping heads, and forklift operators.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing and workflow to meet daily production targets.
• Monitor production, equipment, quality, and workflow, addressing issues promptly.
• Supervise hackers to remove bricks from kiln cars and load monorail bins correctly.
• Ensure proper identification of kiln cars, brick products, runs, and finished cubes.
• Inspect finished brick cubes for formation, stability, strapping, and labeling.
• Oversee forklift operations, move and place brick cubes and materials safely.
• Perform equipment inspections, greasing, routine maintenance, and report repairs.
• Train and coach employees on job duties, equipment use, product identification, quality standards, and safety procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; prior manufacturing or packaging experience valued.
• Experience supervising in a fast‑paced industrial environment.
• Ability to manage employee timekeeping using WorkEasy.
• Capability to work in hot industrial conditions and lift up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Forklift operation and certification.
• Equipment inspection and basic maintenance.
• Basic computer skills for timekeeping and production systems.
