Packaging Machine Operator – 12‑Hour Day Shift

About the role

CooperVision is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to work a 12‑hour day shift in West Henrietta, NY. The role focuses on material handling, order staging, and supporting packaging operations to meet production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Pick silver stock from the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) and rack it for packaging (PKG) customer orders.
• Retrieve, verify, and stage all materials required for scheduled orders according to the Tableau production run plan.
• Coordinate with inventory control, production teams, and the master production scheduler to ensure timely material availability.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and FDA regulations, and follow internal SOPs and work instructions.
• Perform routine inventory checks, report discrepancies, and assist with cycle counting.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives related to material flow and staging efficiency.
• Operate packaging machines as needed to sustain production levels and work extended hours, including mandatory overtime.

Required profile

• Authorized to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
• Full‑time onsite availability, five days per week.
• Ability to work extended hours and adapt to business needs.
• Strong numerical, verbal, and literacy skills.

Required skills

• Understanding of SOPs and work instructions.
• Knowledge of GPSII, Redzone‑OEE, and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to read technical material such as production schedules and Tableau run plans.
• Experience with ASRS systems and inventory management software (preferred).
